                                     AN ACT

     1  Authorizing and directing the Department of General Services,
     2     with the approval of the Governor and the Department of
     3     Public Welfare, to convey a tract of land to the Fraternal
     4     Order of Police, Lodge 5 of Philadelphia, situate in the City
     5     and County of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

     6     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     7  hereby enacts as follows:
     8     Section 1.  The Department of General Services, with the
     9  approval of the Governor and the Department of Public Welfare,
    10  is hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the Commonwealth
    11  of Pennsylvania, to grant and convey in fee simple to the
    12  Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 5 of Philadelphia, or their
    13  successors or assigns, for a consideration of $148,750, a tract
    14  of land for use as a senior citizens home, situate in the City
    15  and County of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, bounded and described
    16  as follows:
    17     All that certain lot or tract of land situate in the City and
    18  County of Philadelphia and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being
    19  more particularly bounded and described as follows, to wit:

     1     For a point of beginning run northerly along the East right-
     2  of-way line of Carter Road from the north right-of-way line of
     3  Southampton Road 300 feet more or less to a point on a line 30
     4  feet north of Clinton Drive center line projected; thence
     5  continue along same right-of-way line 851 feet more or less to a
     6  point on a line 30 feet south of Allegheny Drive center line
     7  projected; thence eastwardly along same projected line 436 feet
     8  more or less to a point 10 feet west of the west curb line of
     9  Chester Drive; thence southwardly and parallel to curb line 845
    10  feet more or less to a point on a line 30 feet north of Clinton
    11  Drive center line projected; and thence westwardly along same
    12  projected line 335 feet more or less to the point of beginning.
    13  Containing 7.5 acres, more or less.
    14     The conveyance shall be made under and subject to all other
    15  easements, servitudes and rights of others, including but not
    16  confined to streets, roadways and rights of telephone,
    17  telegraph, water, electric, sewer, gas or pipeline companies, as
    18  well as under and subject to any interest, estates or tenancies
    19  vested in any third persons, whether or not appearing of record,
    20  for any portion of the land or improvement erected thereon.
    21     Section 2.  The deed of conveyance shall contain a reverter
    22  clause providing that if the land conveyed is used for any
    23  purpose other than a senior citizens home, then the title to
    24  such land shall immediately revert to the Commonwealth of
    25  Pennsylvania.
    26     Section 3.  The deed of conveyance shall be approved as
    27  provided by law and shall be executed by the Secretary of
    28  General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of
    29  Pennsylvania.
    30     Section 4.  Costs and fees incidental to the conveyance shall

     1  be borne by the grantee.
     2     Section 5.  This act shall take effect immediately.
