AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to St. Christopher's Hospital,
2 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $598,000 (A) THE SUM OF $500,000 is <--
6 hereby appropriated to St. Christopher's Hospital, Philadelphia,
7 Pennsylvania, for the fiscal year July 1, 1984 to June 30, 1985,
8 for the outpatient and inpatient treatment of severe physically
9 disabling diseases and general maintenance and operation of the
10 hospital, provided that the hospital remains at the same
11 location throughout the fiscal year as it occupied on July 1,
12 1983. Payment of this appropriation shall be made by the
13 Secretary of Health in equal quarterly payments. If, during the
14 fiscal year July 1, 1984, to June 30, 1985, the hospital moves
15 from the location it occupied on July 1, 1983, the hospital
16 shall repay to the Commonwealth any part of this appropriation
17 received during that fiscal year. July 1, 1984 or, if enacted
1 subsequent to that date, then immediately.
2 (B) THE SUM OF $98,000 IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED TO ST. <--
3 CHRISTOPHER'S HOSPITAL, PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, FOR THE
4 FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1984 TO JUNE 30, 1985, FOR THE HANDICAPPED
5 CHILDREN'S CLINIC AT THE HOSPITAL, PROVIDED THAT THE CLINIC
6 REMAINS AT THE SAME LOCATION THROUGHOUT THE FISCAL YEAR AS IT
7 OCCUPIED ON JULY 1, 1983. PAYMENT OF THIS APPROPRIATION SHALL BE
8 MADE BY THE SECRETARY OF HEALTH IN EQUAL QUARTERLY PAYMENTS. IF,
9 DURING THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1984, TO JUNE 30, 1985, THE
10 HOSPITAL MOVES FROM THE LOCATION IT OCCUPIED ON JULY 1, 1983,
11 THE HOSPITAL SHALL REPAY TO THE COMMONWEALTH ANY PART OF THIS
12 APPROPRIATION RECEIVED DURING THAT FISCAL YEAR.
13 Section 2. St. Christopher's Hospital shall provide such
14 information as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of
15 this act and in such form and manner as the Department of Health
16 shall prescribe.
17 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 1984 or, if
18 enacted subsequent to that date, then immediately.
