AN ACT 1 Making appropriations to The Medical College of Pennsylvania, 2 East Falls, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 4 hereby enacts as follows: 5 Section 1. The sum of $2,326,000 is hereby appropriated to 6 The Medical College of Pennsylvania located in East Falls, 7 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for the fiscal year July 1, 1984 to 8 June 30, 1985, for instruction in the Doctor of Medicine program 9 and for participation by a representative of the institution, 10 appointed by the Chief Executive Officer thereof, as a member of 11 the Pennsylvania Academic Commission on Technological 12 Development, a commission for inter-institutional communication 13 regarding technological innovation and development and for 14 dissemination of information on such matters to the Pennsylvania 15 business community and others who may use such information for 16 new business and job development in Pennsylvania, such 17 commission to be composed of representatives of every State-
1 owned or State-related educational or scientific institution 2 receiving General Fund assistance from the Commonwealth. 3 Section 2. The sum of $268,000 is hereby appropriated to The 4 Medical College of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for 5 the fiscal year July 1, 1984 to June 30, 1985, for the general 6 maintenance of The Medical College of Pennsylvania, including 7 the School of Allied Health, and student aid. 8 Section 3. Payments to The Medical College of Pennsylvania 9 on account of the appropriations provided in sections 1 and 2 10 shall be made quarterly by the Secretary of Education on the 11 basis of costs during the fiscal year. 12 Section 4. The Medical College of Pennsylvania shall provide 13 such information and in such form and manner as the Department 14 of Education may prescribe. 15 Section 5. The Medical College of Pennsylvania shall report 16 its revenues and expenditures and present its financial 17 statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting 18 principles and procedures for educational institutions as set 19 forth in the "Higher Education Finance Manual of 1975," without 20 exception. 21 Section 6.
