AN ACT 1 Making appropriations to the Hahnemann Medical College and 2 Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 4 hereby enacts as follows: 5 Section 1. (a) The sum of $3,930,000 is hereby appropriated 6 to the Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital, Philadelphia, 7 Pennsylvania, for its fiscal year July 1, 1984 to June 30, 1985, 8 for instruction in the Doctor of Medicine program and for 9 participation by a representative of the institution, appointed 10 by the Chief Executive Officer thereof, as a member of the 11 Pennsylvania Academic Commission on Technological Development, a 12 commission for inter-institutional communication regarding 13 technological innovation and development and for dissemination 14 of information on such matters to the Pennsylvania business 15 community and others who may use such information for new 16 business and job development in Pennsylvania, such commission to 17 be composed of representatives of every State-owned or State-
1 related educational or scientific institution receiving General 2 Fund assistance from the Commonwealth. 3 (b) The sum of $182,000 is hereby appropriated to the 4 Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital of Philadelphia, 5 Pennsylvania, for its fiscal year July 1, 1984 to June 30, 1985, 6 for the general maintenance of the Hahnemann Medical College and 7 Hospital, including the Allied Health, Professions and Graduate 8 School of the Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital, and 9 student aid. 10 Section 2. Payments to the Hahnemann Medical College and 11 Hospital on account of the appropriations provided in section 1 12 shall be made quarterly by the Secretary of Education on the 13 basis of costs during the fiscal year. 14 Section 3. The Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital shall 15 provide such information as may be required to carry out the 16 provisions of this act and in such form and manner as the 17 Department of Education may prescribe. 18 Section 4. The Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital shall 19 report its revenues and expenditures and present its financial 20 statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting 21 principles and procedures for educational institutions as set 22 forth in the "Higher Education Finance Manual of 1975," without 23 exception. 24 Section 5.
