AN ACT
1 Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, requiring water companies to provide
3 service to all properties within its territory.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 1502 of Title 66 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 1502. Discrimination in service.
9 No public utility shall, as to service, make or grant any
10 unreasonable preference or advantage to any person, corporation,
11 or municipal corporation, or subject any person, corporation, or
12 municipal corporation to any unreasonable prejudice or
13 disadvantage. No public utility shall establish or maintain any
14 unreasonable difference as to service, either as between
15 localities or as between classes of service, but this section
16 does not prohibit the establishment of reasonable
17 classifications of service. No water company shall refuse to
18 provide service to any property located within its territory.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
