AN ACT 1 Providing for the establishing of lifecourses for jogging; and 2 imposing powers and duties on various departments. 3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 4 hereby enacts as follows: 5 Section 1. Lifecourse described. 6 Lifecourse means a scenic path suitable for jogging between 7 one mile and two and one-half miles in length with stations at 8 intervals beside the course where there are bars, beams, posts 9 and similar exercising apparatus where the jogger may exercise 10 by push, pull, swing and stretch. No exercise station shall be 11 constructed so as to create an obstacle to unobstructed walking 12 or running along the course. Wherever possible, exercise 13 equipment shall blend with the natural surroundings. 14 Section 2. Establishment in State parks. 15 The Department of Environmental Resources shall establish one 16 lifecourse in each of 15 State parks within 24 months of the 17 effective date of this act.

Department of Community Affairs programs. 2 The Department of Community Affairs shall, to the extent 3 feasible, promote lifecourses in all outdoor recreational 4 programs funded in whole or in part by the Department of 5 Community Affairs. 6 Section 4. Department of Health. 7 The Department of Health with the assistance of the 8 Department of Community Affairs and the Department of 9 Environmental Resources shall promulgate standards for the 10 development of lifecourses by State or local public agencies. 11 Section 5.
