                                     AN ACT

     1  Mandating revocation of mercantile license issued by cities of
     2     the first class upon certain convictions.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5  Section 1.  Revocation.
     6     Any mercantile license issued by any city of the first class
     7  shall be revoked by the proper issuing authority upon conviction
     8  of the person who possesses the license of any of the following
     9  offenses:
    10         (1)  any drug or controlled substance offense except for
    11     the offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or
    12     controlled substances;
    13         (2)  any offense involving prostitution;
    14         (3)  any offense involving illegal gambling; or
    15         (4)  any other offense involving moral turpitude.
    16  Section 2.  Gravity of offense.

     1     In order for any license to be revoked pursuant to section 1,
     2  the offense shall have been a misdemeanor or a felony.
     3  Section 3.  Effective date.
     4     This act shall take effect immediately.
