AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 1, 1956 (1955 P.L.1959, No.657),
2 entitled, as amended, "An act fixing the salaries and
3 compensation of the Chief Justice and judges of the Supreme
4 Court, the President Judge and judges of the Superior Court,
5 the judges of the courts of common pleas, the judges of the
6 orphans' courts, the judges of the County Court of
7 Philadelphia and the judges of the County Court and Juvenile
8 Court of Allegheny County, certain associate judges not
9 learned in the law, certain state officers, and the salary
10 and expenses of the members of the General Assembly, and
11 repealing certain inconsistent acts," increasing salaries of
12 Philadelphia Traffic Court judges.
13 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
14 hereby enacts as follows:
15 Section 1. Section 4.2 of the act of June 1, 1956 (1955
16 P.L.1959, No.657), referred to as the Public Official
17 Compensation Law, amended October 25, 1979 (P.L.235, No.75), is
18 amended to read:
19 Section 4.2. The annual salary of the President Judge of the
20 Philadelphia Traffic Court shall be [twenty-six thousand dollars
21 ($26,000)] thirty-nine thousand dollars ($39,000). The annual
22 salary of associate judges of the Philadelphia Traffic Court
1 shall be [twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000)] thirty-five
2 thousand dollars ($35,000).
3 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1983.
