AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, requiring the issuance of a receipt upon surrender
3 of a driver's license to the Department of Transportation.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 1540(b) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 1540. Surrender of license.

10 (b) Suspension of operating privilege.--Upon the suspension
11 of the operating privilege of any person by the department, the
12 department shall forthwith notify the person in writing to
13 surrender his driver's license to the department for the term of
14 suspension. Upon surrender of the license, the department shall
15 issue a receipt showing the date that it received the license.
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
