AN ACT
1 Making appropriations to The Medical College of Pennsylvania,
2 East Falls, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $2,091,000 is hereby specifically
6 appropriated to The Medical College of Pennsylvania located in
7 East Falls, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for its fiscal period
8 July 1, 1982 to June 30, 1983 for instruction in the Doctor of
9 Medicine program.
10 Section 2. The sum of $258,000 is hereby appropriated to The
11 Medical College of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for
12 the fiscal period July 1, 1982 to June 30, 1983, for the general
13 maintenance of The Medical College of Pennsylvania including the
14 School of Allied Health and Student Aid.
15 Section 3. Payments to The Medical College of Pennsylvania
16 on account of the appropriations as provided in sections 1 and 2
17 shall be made quarterly by the Secretary of Education on the
1 basis of costs during the fiscal period.
2 Section 4. The college shall provide such information as may
3 be necessary to carry out the provisions of this act and in such
4 form and manner as the Department of Education may prescribe.
5 Section 5. The Medical College of Pennsylvania shall report
6 its revenues and expenditures and present its financial
7 statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting
8 principles and procedures for educational institutions as set
9 forth in the "Higher Education Finance Manual of 1975" without
10 exception.
11 Section 6. This act shall take effect July 1, 1982.
