                                  A SUPPLEMENT

     1  To the act of          (P.L.   , No.   ), entitled "An act to
     2     provide for the expenses of the Executive, Legislative and
     3     Judicial Departments of the Commonwealth, the public debt,
     4     and for the public schools for the fiscal period July 1, 1982
     5     to June 30, 1983, and for the payment of bills incurred and
     6     remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal period ending
     7     June 30, 1982," itemizing appropriations required from the
     8     Motor License Fund for the proper operation of the several
     9     departments of the Commonwealth authorized to spend Motor
    10     License Fund moneys.

    11     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    12  hereby enacts as follows:
    13     Section 1.  This supplement shall be known and may be cited
    14  as the "Motor License Fund Supplement to the General
    15  Appropriation Act of 1982."
    16     Section 2.  The following sums, or as much thereof as may be
    17  necessary, are hereby specifically appropriated from the Motor
    18  License Fund to the hereinafter named agencies of the
    19  Commonwealth for the payment of salaries, wages and other
    20  compensation and travel expenses of the duly elected or
    21  appointed officers and employees of the Commonwealth, for


     1  contractual services and other expenses necessary for the proper
     2  conduct of the duties, functions and activities for the purposes
     3  hereinafter set forth for the fiscal period beginning July 1,
     4  1982 and for the payment of bills incurred and remaining unpaid
     5  at the close of the fiscal period ending June 30, 1982.
     6                To the Department of Transportation
     7     For the salaries, wages and all necessary
     8  expenses for the proper administration of the
     9  Department of Transportation, including the
    10  Transportation Commission and Advisory Committee,
    11  and the Statewide coordination of municipal
    12  services.........................................  $ 20,369,000
    13     For the salaries, wages and all necessary
    14  expenses for the operation of the Highway and
    15  Safety Improvement Programs, including planning
    16  and research, design, engineering, right-of-way
    17  acquisition and the operation of the engineering
    18  district facilities and liaison services with
    19  communities on local road engineering and con-
    20  struction activities.............................    98,545,000
    21     For the salaries, wages and all necessary
    22  expenses for the administration and operation
    23  of the maintenance program for State roads,
    24  bridges, tunnels and structures, including the
    25  operation of the county maintenance district
    26  facilities.......................................   500,250,000
    27     For the salaries, wages and all necessary
    28  expenses for the administration of the Traffic
    29  Safety Program and the administration and oper-
    30  ation of the Operator and Vehicle Registration

     3  and bridge authority for projects constructed

     9  of roads in accordance with Chapter 93 of Title

    13  tenance of State-owned aircraft, payment of
    14  general expenses, supplies, printing and equip-
    15  ment; for the development and maintenance of

    17  landing fields, intermediate landing fields, land-
    18  ing field equipment, beacon sites, other navi-
    19  gation facilities, and the encouragement and
    20  development of civil aeronautics..................    6,171,000
    21     For payment from restricted revenue for air-
    22  port construction and development including
    23  encouragement and development of aeronautics,
    24  development of State airports, assistance to
    25  political subdivisions and municipal authorities
    26  in the construction and improvement of airports

     6     Section 3.  In addition to the amounts appropriated by this
     7  act, all moneys received from the Federal government or from any
     8  other source as contributions to or payments for the programs
     9  provided herein shall be paid into the Motor License Fund and
    10  are hereby appropriated out of the Motor License Fund for the
    11  purposes and programs intended.
    12     Section 4.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1982.
