AN ACT
1 Authorizing the incurring of indebtedness, with approval of the
2 electors, of $50,000,000 for the repair, construction,
3 reconstruction, rehabilitation and improvement of county
4 prisons.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The question of incurring indebtedness of
8 $50,000,000 for the repair, construction, reconstruction and
9 rehabilitation of county prisons shall be submitted to the
10 electors at the next primary, municipal or general election
11 following enactment of this act.
12 Section 2. The Secretary of the Commonwealth shall forthwith
13 certify the question to the county boards of election.
14 Section 3. The question shall be in substantially the
15 following form:
16 Do you favor the incurring of indebtedness by the
17 Commonwealth of $50,000,000 to repair, construct, reconstruct
18 and rehabilitate county prisons?
1 Section 4. The election shall be conducted in accordance
2 with the act of June 3, 1937 (P.L.1333, No.320), known as the
3 "Pennsylvania Election Code," except that the time limits for
4 advertisement of notice of the election may be waived as to the
5 question.
6 Section 5. This act shall take effect immediately.
