                           In the House of Representatives, June 7, 1982

     1     WHEREAS, Our townships, cities, counties, states and country
     2  are going through trying times with the economy; and
     3     WHEREAS, The Hopewell Township Commissioners feel in this
     4  time of economic uncertainty it is of extreme importance that
     5  the people express their pride and patriotic spirit for the
     6  United States, which has always been the best country in the
     7  world; and
     8     WHEREAS, We feel there is no better time than the 4th of July
     9  to have the most gigantic display of American flags and
    10  patriotic activities to show the world we are proud to be
    11  Americans and that we love our country; therefore be it
    12     RESOLVED, That the Board of Commissioners of Hopewell
    13  Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, proclaim the week of June
    14  27, 1982 up to and including July 5, 1982 as "We Love America
    15  Week" and request all residents, businesses, organizations, fire
    16  departments and veterans groups to fly flags, banners, hang
    17  decorations, have parades and various activities to show the

     1  world we are proud to be Americans; and be it further
     2     RESOLVED, That Federal, State, county and local governments
     3  promote this week by flying flags at their place of residence,
     4  to show our faith that we will survive the economic crisis.
