HOUSE RESOLUTION

                           In the House of Representatives, May 25, 1982

     1     RESOLVED (the Senate concurring), That the General Assembly
     2  of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby urges the
     3  Pennsylvania Congressional delegation to introduce and support
     4  legislation to:
     5     (1)  prevent the enforcement staff of the Environmental
     6  Protection Agency from enforcing the vehicle emission control
     7  inspection-maintenance program provided for by the Clean Air Act
     8  in Pennsylvania or any other state;
     9     (2)  prohibit the staff of the Environmental Protection
    10  Agency from restricting construction projects in the private
    11  sectors; and
    12     (3)  prohibit the staff of the Environmental Protection
    13  Agency from cutting off Federal highway subsidy funds for any
    14  state for failure and enforce the vehicle emission control
    15  inspection-maintenance program; and be it further
    16     RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to
    17  each member of the Pennsylvania Congressional delegation.
