In the House of Representatives, October 13, 1981
1 WHEREAS, A raw materials charge is being levied upon gas
2 customers by gas companies in cities of the first class; and
3 WHEREAS, There is no apparent reason for this charge nor
4 justification for the amount thereof; therefore be it
5 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives hereby directs
6 the Urban Affairs Subcommittee on First Class Cities of the
7 House to investigate raw materials charges being levied by gas
8 companies in cities of the first class; and be it further
9 RESOLVED, That the subcommittee may hold hearings, take
10 testimony, and make its investigation at such places as it deems
11 necessary within the Commonwealth. Each member of the
12 subcommittee shall have power to administer oaths and
13 affirmations to witnesses appearing before the committee; and be
14 it further
15 RESOLVED, That the subcommittee make a report of its findings
16 to the House as soon as practicable.
