In the House of Representatives, February 17, 1981 1 RESOLVED (the Senate concurring), That the General Assembly 2 of the Commonwealth hereby memorializes Governor Thornburgh to 3 issue a proclamation designating April 25, 1981 as "RESCUE 4 ATTEMPT MEMORIAL SATURDAY," and to invite the people of the 5 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to observe such a day with 6 appropriate ceremonies and to wear and display red ribbons to 7 commemorate the 90 Commandoes and especially: 8 Marine Cpl. George N. Holmes, Jr., Pinebluff, Arkansas 9 Air Force Capt. Richard Bakke, Long Beach, California 10 Marine Sgt. John Davis Harvey, Roanoke, Virginia 11 Marine S/Sgt. Dewey L. Johnson, Jacksonville, North Carolina 12 Air Force Capt. Harold Lewis, Mansfield, Connecticut 13 Air Force Sgt. Joel Mayo, Bonifay, Florida 14 Air Force Capt. Lyn D. McIntosh, Valdosa, Georgia 15 Air Force Capt. Charles T. McMillen, Corryton, Tennessee 16 who were killed in the line of duty on April 25, 1980 during the 17 rescue mission that attempted to free the 52 Americans held
