                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, providing permanent revocation of operating
     3     privileges for persons convicted of certain drug offenses
     4     with a vehicle.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  Section 1532 of Title 75, act of November 25,
     8  1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     9  Statutes, is amended by adding a subsection to read:
    10  § 1532.  Revocation or suspension of operating privilege.
    11     * * *
    12     (c)  Permanent revocation.--Notwithstanding the provisions of
    13  subsection (a), the department shall revoke the operating
    14  privilege of any driver permanently upon receiving a certified
    15  record of the driver's conviction of any felony pursuant to the
    16  act of April 14, 1972 (P.L.233, No.64), known as "The Controlled
    17  Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act," if a court determines
    18  that a vehicle was essentially involved in the commission of


     1  that felony.
     2     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
