AN ACT 1 Providing for the transfer of a tract of land in Woodbury 2 Township, Blair County, to the Blair County Historical 3 Society, Inc. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. (a) Pursuant to the requirements of subsection 7 (b) of section 20, act of June 22, 1964 (Sp.Sess., P.L.131, 8 No.8), known as the "Project 70 Land Acquisition and Borrowing 9 Act," the General Assembly hereby authorizes the Commonwealth of 10 Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Fish Commission to sell and convey a 11 certain tract of land situated in Woodbury Township, Blair 12 County to the Blair County Historical Society, Inc., a nonprofit 13 corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of 14 Pennsylvania, for and in consideration of the sum of $1. 15 (b) Said land shall be free of restrictions on use and 16 alienation prescribed by section 20 of the "Project 70 Land 17 Acquisition and Borrowing Act," upon: 18 (1) the payment of said sum of $1 into the Project 70
1 Land Acquisition Sinking Fund; and 2 (2) the execution and filing of a document of release 3 citing such transfer and release of the land conveyed by the 4 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Fish Commission, 5 from the restrictions on use and alienation prescribed by 6 subsection (b) of section 20 of said act. The document of 7 release shall, upon such transfer, be prepared and filed in 8 the office of the recorder of deeds of Blair County. The 9 document of release shall additionally provide that the 10 release is contingent upon the Blair County Historical 11 Society maintaining and preserving the site as a site of 12 historical significance. 13 Section 2. The land to be transferred by the Commonwealth of 14 Pennsylvania, acting by and through the Pennsylvania Fish 15 Commission, to the Blair County Historical Society, Inc. is more 16 particularly described as follows: 17 All that certain parcel of land with improvements erected 18 thereon situate in the Township of Woodbury, Blair County, 19 Pennsylvania, known as the Royer Mansion Tract, more fully 20 bounded and described as follows, to wit: 21 Beginning at an iron pin in the middle of Mill Lane at a 22 common corner of lands of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and 23 now or formerly of Leroy M. Waite on the southern line of lands 24 now or formerly of Edison Fry; thence and by the centerline of 25 Mill Lane south 67 degrees 11 minutes east 475.00 feet, more or 26 less, to a railroad spike set in the centerline of Route No. 27 866; thence and by the centerline of Route 866 south 00 degrees 28 59 minutes east 690.30 feet, more or less, to a point located 29 north 00 degrees 59 minutes west 75 feet, more or less, from a 30 railroad spike set in the centerline of the said Route No. 866; 19820H2441B3241 - 2 -
1 thence by lands of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania north 83 2 degrees 29 minutes 50 seconds west 260.00 feet, more or less, to 3 a point; thence by the same south 54 degrees 07 minutes 15 4 seconds west 236.56 feet, more or less, to a common corner of 5 lands of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and lands now or 6 formerly of Mike and Ruth Martin; thence by common line of lands 7 of the Commonwealth and now or formerly Mike and Ruth Martin 8 north 00 degrees 22 minutes west 420.00 feet, more or less, to a 9 point, the common corner of lands of the said Martin and now or 10 formerly Leroy M. Waite; thence by the common line of the said 11 Waite and the Commonwealth north 00 degrees 08 minutes east 12 758.45 feet, more or less, to the point and place of beginning. 13 Containing 8.0 acres of land, more or less. 14 Section 3. The Deed of Conveyance shall contain a clause 15 that the lands conveyed shall be used for historical 16 preservation purposes by the Blair County Historical Society and 17 if at any time the said Blair County Historical Society or its 18 successor in function conveys said property or authorizes or 19 permits said property to be used for any purpose other than for 20 maintaining and preserving a site of historical significance, 21 namely the so-called Royer Mansion, the title thereto shall 22 immediately revert to and revest in the Commonwealth of 23 Pennsylvania. 24 Section 4. The Deed of Conveyance shall be approved by the 25 Chief Counsel of the Pennsylvania Fish Commission and the 26 Attorney General and shall be executed by the Executive Director 27 of the Pennsylvania Fish Commission in the name of the 28 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Fish Commission. 29 Section 5.
