                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
     2     Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the
     3     arrest powers of police officers.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Title 42, act of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707,
     7  No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, is
     8  amended by adding a section to read:
     9  § 8902.  Felony arrest by police officer beyond political 
    10           subdivision.
    11     Any police officer of any political subdivision may arrest
    12  without a warrant any person beyond the territorial limits of
    13  such political subdivision for a felony if a felony has been
    14  committed and the officer has probable cause to believe that the
    15  person committed the felony.
    16     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
