AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, permitting any person to
3 see the court files and records of a child charged with
4 committing certain offenses.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 6307 of Title 42, act of November 25,
8 1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
9 Statutes, is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
10 § 6307. Inspection of court files and records.
11 All files and records of the court in a proceeding under this
12 chapter are open to inspection only by:
13 * * *
14 (7) Any person when the child is charged with
15 committing:
16 (i) a felony;
17 (ii) a crime involving bodily injury to another
18 person;
1 (iii) a crime involving property damage exceeding
2 $500; or
3 (iv) any crime and has previously been charged with
4 committing a misdemeanor or felony.
5 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
