AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 3, 1937 (P.L.1225, No.316), entitled
2 "An act concerning game and other wild birds and wild
3 animals; and amending, revising, consolidating, and changing
4 the law relating thereto," imposing limitations on the
5 stocking of game-farm turkeys.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. Section 906, act of June 3, 1937 (P.L.1225,
9 No.316), known as "The Game Law," is amended by adding a
10 subsection to read:
11 Section 906. Use of Lands.--* * *
12 (i) On and after October 30, 1981, no lands owned or leased
13 by the commission shall be used to raise turkeys in pens or
14 enclosures for purposes of stocking or replenishing any turkey
15 flock or turkey range. All stocking or replenishing of any
16 turkey flock or turkey range shall be accomplished with live-
17 trapped wild turkeys taken from existing flocks.
18 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
