                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of June 3, 1937 (P.L.1333, No.320), entitled
     2     "An act concerning elections, including general, municipal,
     3     special and primary elections, the nomination of candidates,
     4     primary and election expenses and election contests; creating
     5     and defining membership of county boards of elections;
     6     imposing duties upon the Secretary of the Commonwealth,
     7     courts, county boards of elections, county commissioners;
     8     imposing penalties for violation of the act, and codifying,
     9     revising and consolidating the laws relating thereto; and
    10     repealing certain acts and parts of acts relating to
    11     elections," further providing for reporting by candidates,
    12     political committees and other persons and making an
    13     editorial correction.

    14     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    15  hereby enacts as follows:
    16     Section 1.  Subsection (h) of section 1626, act of June 3,
    17  1937 (P.L.1333, No.320), known as the "Pennsylvania Election
    18  Code," amended July 11, 1980 (No.127), is amended and the
    19  section is amended by adding a subsection to read:
    20     Section 1626.  Reporting by Candidate and Political
    21  Committees and other Persons.--

    23     (h)  All reports required to be filed pursuant to this

     1  section shall be filed pursuant to section [1630] 1631. All
     2  reports and statements required by this section shall cover the
     3  campaign activity of a candidate only from the last prior report
     4  or statement.
     5     * * *
     6     (k)  No candidate for judge of elections or inspector of
     7  elections shall be subject to the reporting requirements of this
     8  section or to the requirements of sections 1622(c), 1627, 1628
     9  and 1632(b) unless said candidate authorizes the formation of a
    10  political committee to receive contributions or make
    11  expenditures on behalf of his candidacy.
    12     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
