SENATOR SMITH, APPROPRIATIONS, AS AMENDED, SEPTEMBER 23, 1980
AN ACT
1 Making appropriations to the Trustees of the Berean Training and
2 Industrial School at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. (a) The sum of $520,000 $700,000, or as much <--
6 thereof as may be necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated
7 to the Trustees of the Berean Training and Industrial School at
8 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for its fiscal period July 1, 1980
9 to June 30, 1981, for the operation and maintenance of the
10 school and the purchase of such apparatus and equipment as the
11 trustees may deem necessary for the best interest of the school.
12 (b) For payment of rentals and debt
13 service to the Commonwealth...................... $40,000
14 Section 2. Payment to the Berean Training and Industrial
15 School on account of the appropriations in section 1 shall be
16 made by the Secretary of Education on the basis of costs during
17 the fiscal year.
1 Section 3. All sums of money paid to the Trustees of the
2 Berean Training and Industrial School pursuant to the
3 appropriation of the act of July 11, 1980 (No.46A), entitled "An
4 act making appropriations to the Trustees of the Berean Training
5 and Industrial School at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania," shall be
6 credited toward and deducted from the amount appropriated in
7 this act.
8 Section 4. The act of July 11, 1980 (No.46A), entitled "An
9 act making appropriations to the Trustees of the Berean Training
10 and Industrial School at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania," is
11 repealed.
12 Section 5. This act shall take effect immediately.
