AN ACT 1 Amending the act of June 18, 1980 (No.17A), entitled "An act to 2 provide for the expenses of the Executive, Legislative and 3 Judicial Departments of the Commonwealth, the public debt and 4 for the public schools for the fiscal period July 1, 1980 to 5 June 30, 1981 and for the payment of bills incurred and 6 remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal period ending 7 June 30, 1980; to provide supplemental appropriations from 8 the General Fund to the various departments of the 9 Commonwealth for the fiscal period July 1, 1979 to June 30, 10 1980," adding an appropriation to the Department of Health. 11 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 12 hereby enacts as follows: 13 Section 1. As much as relates to the Department of Health in 14 section 201, act of June 18, 1980 (No.17A), known as the 15 "General Appropriation Act of 1980," is amended to read: 16 PART II 17 General Fund Appropriations 1980-1981 18 Section 201. The following sums, or as much thereof as may 19 be necessary, are hereby specifically appropriated from the 20 General Fund to the several hereinafter named agencies of the 21 Executive, Legislative and Judicial Departments of the
1 Commonwealth for the payment of salaries, wages or other 2 compensation and travel expense of the duly elected or appointed 3 officers and employees of the Commonwealth, for payment of fees 4 of contractual services rendered, for the purchase or rental of 5 goods, services, printing, equipment, land and buildings and for 6 payment of any other expenses, as provided by law or by this 7 act, necessary for the proper conduct of the duties, functions 8 and activities and for the purposes hereinafter set forth for 9 the fiscal period beginning July 1, 1980 and for the payment of 10 bills incurred and remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal 11 period ending June 30, 1980. 12 I. EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT 13 * * * 14 To the Department of Health 15 * * * 16 For reimbursement of providers of the 17 following: 18 (1) Diagnostic and remedial speech and 19 language services; 20 (2) Special diagnostic tests and studies 21 which are: 22 (i) Psychological, 23 (ii) Pediatric, 24 (iii) Neurological, 25 (iv) Brain-stem evoked auditory response tests, 26 (v) Tests of central auditory perception, 27 (vi) Out-patient x-rays; 28 (3) Binaural Hearing Aids and/or a second aid 29 to complete a binaural fitting; 30 (4) Hearing aids in instances of unilateral 19800H2844B3781 - 2 -
