                                     AN ACT

     1  Designating Lincoln University a land grant institution.

     2     An Act of Congress, passed August 30, 1890, known as the
     3  Second Morrill Act (7 U.S.C. § 321, et seq.), providing for the
     4  further endowment and support of colleges of agriculture and
     5  mechanical arts.
     6     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has
     7  recognized and is now aiding Lincoln University as an integral
     8  part of a system of higher education in Pennsylvania, under the
     9  act of July 7, 1972 (P.L.743, No.176), known as the "Lincoln
    10  University--Commonwealth Act," pursuant to the requirements of
    11  the Second Morrill Act for designation of an institution as a
    12  land grant institution.
    13     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    14  hereby enacts as follows:
    15     Section 1.  Lincoln University is hereby designated a land
    16  grant institution eligible to receive endowments and support as
    17  provided in the act of August 30, 1890 known as the Second

     1  Morrill Act (7 U.S.C. § 321, et seq.).
     2     Section 2.  All funds received by the Commonwealth of
     3  Pennsylvania pursuant to the Second Morrill Act shall be divided
     4  equally between the Pennsylvania State University and Lincoln
     5  University.
     6     Section 3.  A copy of this act shall be transmitted to the
     7  Secretary of the United States Department of Education.
     8     Section 4.  This act shall take effect immediately.
