AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 1, 1978 (P.L.700, No.124), entitled "An
2 act enumerating certain fees and charges to be imposed for
3 activities regulated by the Bureau of Professional and
4 Occupational Affairs of the Department of State, providing
5 for the appointment and term of Office of the Commissioner of
6 Professional and Occupational Affairs, creating the
7 Professional Licensure Augmentation Account and providing for
8 its administration and making certain repeals," providing for
9 renewal of licenses by retired licensees.
10 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
11 hereby enacts as follows:
12 Section 1. Section 225, act of July 1, 1978 (P.L.700,
13 No.124), known as the "Bureau of Professional and Occupational
14 Affairs Fee Act," is amended to read:
15 Section 225. Late renewal.
16 [Where] (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), where a
17 license is renewed beyond the date specified for renewal by the
18 bureau, a fee of $5 for each month or part of a month beyond the
19 renewal date shall be charged in addition to the prescribed fee.
20 (b) A licensee who is retired and receiving a fixed income
21 may renew a license at one-half of the fee with no additional
1 fee for late renewal.
2 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
