AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 9, 1976 (P.L.582, No.140), entitled "An
2 act authorizing the Department of General Services, with the
3 approval of the Governor and the Secretary of Transportation
4 to sell and convey to Urban Community Alternatives certain
5 lots or pieces of ground together with buildings and
6 improvements thereon situate in the City of Philadelphia,"
7 further providing for the consideration for the sale,
8 removing the restriction and reversion section and making an
9 editorial correction.
10 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
11 hereby enacts as follows:
12 Section 1. The TITLE AND THE introductory paragraph of <--
13 section 1, act of July 9, 1976 (P.L.582, No.140), entitled "An
14 act authorizing the Department of General Services, with the
15 approval of the Governor and the Secretary of Transportation to
16 sell and convey to Urban Community Alternatives certain lots or
17 pieces of ground together with buildings and improvements
18 thereon situate in the City of Philadelphia," is amended to
19 read:
20 AN ACT
1 AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES, WITH THE <--
2 APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNOR AND THE SECRETARY OF TRANSPORTATION
3 TO SELL AND CONVEY [TO URBAN COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVES] AFTER AN
4 INDEPENDENT APPRAISAL, AT A PUBLIC AUCTION TO THE HIGHEST
5 BIDDER MEETING THE MINIMUM BID REQUIREMENT AS DETERMINED BY
6 THE SECRETARY OF GENERAL SERVICES, CERTAIN LOTS OR PIECES OF
7 GROUND TOGETHER WITH BUILDINGS AND IMPROVEMENTS THEREON
8 SITUATE IN THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA."
9 Section 1. The Department of General Services, with the
10 approval of the Governor and the Secretary of Transportation is
11 hereby authorized on behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
12 to sell and convey [to Urban Community Alternatives Inc., for <--
13 the consideration of [$1] $60,000 AFTER AN INDEPENDENT <--
14 APPRAISAL, AT A PUBLIC AUCTION TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER MEETING THE
15 MINIMUM BID REQUIREMENT AS DETERMINED BY THE SECRETARY OF
16 GENERAL SERVICES, the following tract of land together with any
17 improvements thereon situate in the City of Philadelphia, in the
18 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows:

20 Section 2. Section 2 of the act is repealed. <--
21 Section 3 2. This act shall take effect immediately. <--
