AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for the refund of the unused
3 portion of any collected license fee.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 1951 of Title 75, act of November 25,
7 1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
8 Statutes, is amended by adding a subsection to read:
9 § 1951. Driver's license and learner's permit.

11 (e) Refund of certain fees.--Whenever the department
12 collects more than one year's annual fee as set forth in
13 subsection (a), the department shall, within 30 days of the
14 receipt of a request, refund to the requestor the full year or
15 full years' portion of the unused fee whenever the requestor
16 surrenders the driver's license for purposes other than
17 violations of this title or Title 18 (relating to crimes and
1 offenses).
2 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
