                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of April 12, 1951 (P.L.90, No.21), entitled "An
     2     act relating to alcoholic liquors, alcohol and malt and
     3     brewed beverages; amending, revising, consolidating and
     4     changing the laws relating thereto; regulating and
     5     restricting the manufacture, purchase, sale, possession,
     6     consumption, importation, transportation, furnishing, holding
     7     in bond, holding in storage, traffic in and use of alcoholic
     8     liquors, alcohol and malt and brewed beverages and the
     9     persons engaged or employed therein; defining the powers and
    10     duties of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board; providing
    11     for the establishment and operation of State liquor stores,
    12     for the payment of certain license fees to the respective
    13     municipalities and townships, for the abatement of certain
    14     nuisances and, in certain cases, for search and seizure
    15     without warrant; prescribing penalties and forfeitures;
    16     providing for local option, and repealing existing laws,"
    17     requiring the board to issue licenses for the limited
    18     manufacture and use of ethyl or methyl alcohol for liquid
    19     fuel purposes and providing for fees.

    20     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    21  hereby enacts as follows:
    22     Section 1.  The act of April 12, 1951 (P.L.90, No.21), known
    23  as the "Liquor Code," is amended by adding a section to read:
    24     Section 505.4.  Manufacture of Ethyl and Methyl Alcohol for

     1  Liquid Fuel Purposes.--(a)  The board shall issue, upon
     2  application and approval, licenses to individuals or
     3  corporations for the manufacture of ethyl and methyl alcohol.
     4     (b)  The application in the form required by section 504,
     5  shall be accompanied by an application fee of ten dollars ($10),
     6  an initial license fee of fifteen dollars ($15) and a certified
     7  copy of a current Federal distilled spirits plant permit
     8  requiring the alcohol to be denatured.
     9     (c)  The board shall, within thirty days of receipt of the
    10  application, after determining that the provisions of section
    11  503 are complied with and that the Federal distilled spirits
    12  plant permit is current, issue an annual license without the
    13  requirement of any bond for the applicant for the manufacture of
    14  ethyl and methyl alcohol.
    15     (d)  Any license so issued shall be an annual license renewal
    16  each year upon receipt of the annual license fee of twenty-five
    17  dollars ($25).
    18     (e)  Any violation of this section or the other provisions of
    19  this article shall be subject to the penalties set forth in
    20  section 519.
    21     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
