                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of April 25, 1927 (P.L.381, No.248), entitled
     2     "An act concerning arbitration, and to make valid and
     3     enforceable written provisions and agreements for the
     4     arbitration of disputes in certain contracts, including
     5     contracts to which the State or any municipal subdivision
     6     thereof may be a party; regulating the procedure under such
     7     provisions and agreements; and conferring certain powers and
     8     imposing certain duties upon the courts with reference
     9     thereto," providing for costs and attorney fees on appeal.

    10     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    11  hereby enacts as follows:
    12     Section 1.  Section 12, act of April 25, 1927 (P.L.381,
    13  No.248), referred to as the Arbitration by Contract Law, is
    14  amended to read:
    15     Section 12.  Judgment Upon Award.--Upon the granting of an
    16  order confirming, modifying, or correcting an award, judgment
    17  shall be entered in conformity therewith in the court wherein
    18  the order was granted. In any appeal taken from an arbitration
    19  award, the prevailing party shall be awarded court costs and
    20  attorney fees.
    21     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
