AN ACT
1 Requiring certain public utilities to issue stock in certain
2 circumstances and requiring the Public Utility Commission to
3 make certain calculations.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Every consumer of an electric public utility
7 company who is required to pay for the cost incurred as a result
8 of a nuclear accident or to pay for further expansion or
9 construction of a nuclear facility shall become a stockholder in
10 said utility. The utility company shall issue certificates of
11 stock to said consumer in an amount to be determined by the
12 Public Utility Commission.
13 Section 2. The Public Utility Commission shall adopt
14 regulations necessary to carry out the provisions of this act.
15 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately and shall
16 apply retroactively to January 1, 1979.
