AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 28, 1953 (P.L.723, No.230), entitled,
2 as amended, "An act relating to counties of the second class
3 and second class A; amending, revising, consolidating and
4 changing the laws relating thereto," authorizing the purchase
5 of data processing equipment and the entering into of
6 agreements relating to the use thereof.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. Article XXI, act of July 28, 1953 (P.L.723,
10 No.230), known as the "Second Class County Code," is amended by
11 adding a subdivision to read:
12 Article XXI
13 Special Powers and Duties of the County
14 * * *
15 (y) Data Processing Equipment--Cooperation
16 with Municipalities
17 Section 2199.19. Data Processing Equipment.--The board of
18 commissioners of any county is authorized to purchase or lease
19 data processing equipment and to enter into agreements with
20 other governmental units relating to the use of the equipment.
1 The board is also authorized to enter into agreements with other
2 governmental units relating to the use of equipment that may be
3 owned or leased by the other governmental unit.
4 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
