AN ACT
1 Amending the act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.323, No.130), entitled
2 "An act relating to counties of the third, fourth, fifth,
3 sixth, seventh and eighth classes; amending, revising,
4 consolidating and changing the laws relating thereto,"
5 authorizing the purchase of data processing equipment and the
6 entering into of agreements relating to the use thereof.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. Article XIX, act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.323,
10 No.130), known as "The County Code," is amended by adding a
11 subdivision to read:

15 (z.1) Data Processing Equipment-Cooperation
16 with Municipalities
17 Section 1999h. Data Processing Equipment.--The board of
18 commissioners of any county is authorized to purchase or lease
19 data processing equipment and to enter into agreements with
20 other governmental units relating to the use of the equipment.
1 The board is also authorized to enter into agreements with other
2 governmental units relating to the use of equipment that may be
3 owned or leased by the other governmental unit.
4 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
