AN ACT
1 Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, disallowing certain charges to be
3 included in utility rates.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 66, act of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707,
7 No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, is
8 amended by adding a section to read:
9 § 1315. Additional charges as a result of a nuclear accident.
10 No additional charge shall be included in any utility rate
11 which would reflect the costs to the utility as a result of a
12 nuclear accident or the closing of a nuclear power plant.
13 Whenever a public utility as a result of a nuclear accident must
14 obtain that which it furnishes to the public for compensation
15 from another source, no additional charge shall be included in
16 any utility rate which would reflect the increase cost of such
17 purchase to the utility.
18 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
