                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for the registration of
     3     motorcycles.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 1307 of Title 75, act of November 25,
     7  1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     8  Statutes, is amended by adding a subsection to read:
     9  § 1307.  Period of registration.
    10     * * *
    11     (f)  Motorcycles.--Motorcycles shall be registered for
    12  periods of one year and such registrations shall expire on
    13  October 31. Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a), a
    14  staggered renewal system shall not be established for
    15  motorcycles.
    16     Section 2.  This act shall take effect April 1, 1980. For the
    17  period between April 1, 1980 and October 31, 1980, the

     1  department shall issue registrations for a seven-month period
     2  and shall prorate the fee for such period.
