                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further expanding the definition of
     3     perpetration of a felony to include a criminal homicide.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  The definition of "perpetration of a felony" in
     7  subsection (d) of section 2502 of Title 18, act of November 25,
     8  1970 (P.L.707, No.230), is amended to read:
     9  § 2502.  Murder.

    11     (d)  Definitions.--As used in this section the following
    12  words and phrases shall have the meanings given to them in this
    13  subsections:

    15     "Perpetration of a felony."  The act of the defendant in
    16  engaging in or being an accomplice in the commission of, or an
    17  attempt to commit, or flight after committing, or attempting to
    18  commit criminal homicide, robbery, rape, or deviate sexual

     1  intercourse by force or threat of force, arson, burglary or
     2  kidnapping.

     4     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
