                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.323, No.130), entitled
     2     "An act relating to counties of the third, fourth, fifth,
     3     sixth, seventh and eighth classes; amending, revising,
     4     consolidating and changing the laws relating thereto,"
     5     further providing for recreational places.

     6     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     7  hereby enacts as follows:
     8     Section 1.  Subsection (a) of section 2501, act of August 9,
     9  1955 (P.L.323, No.130) known as "The County Code," is amended to
    10  read:
    11     Section 2501.  Acquisition of Land and Buildings for
    12  Recreation Places.--(a)  The county commissioners may in any
    13  county designate and set apart for use as public parks,
    14  parkways, bridle paths, horse riding trails, horse show rings,
    15  foot paths, playgrounds, playfields, gymnasiums, public baths,
    16  swimming pools, agricultural fairgrounds, or other indoor or
    17  outdoor recreation centers, all of which shall hereinafter be
    18  referred to as recreation places, any lands or buildings owned
    19  by such county and not dedicated or devoted to other public use.

     1  They may also designate and set apart any such land or buildings
     2  for the enlarging or extending of any such recreation places.
