AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for proof of insurance at time of
3 inspection.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4727 of Title 75, act of November 25,
7 1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
8 Statutes, is amended by adding a subsection to read:
9 § 4727. Issuance of certificate of inspection.

11 (c) Proof of insurance.--No certificate of inspection and
12 approval shall be issued unless proper proof of the insurance
13 required by law is submitted to the inspection official who
14 shall keep a record of the name of insured, the issuing company,
15 the policy number and the expiration date.
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
