AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 1, 1945 (P.L.1242, No.428), entitled
2 "An act relating to roads, streets, highways and bridges;
3 amending, revising, consolidating and changing the laws
4 administered by the Secretary of Highways and by the
5 Department of Highways relating thereto," acquiring a certain
6 roadway and mandating the deletion of L.R. No.1 Parallel in
7 Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County.
8 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
9 hereby enacts as follows:
10 Section 1. Section 221, act of June 1, 1945 (P.L.1242,
11 No.428), known as the "State Highway Law," is amended by adding
12 a paragraph to read:
13 Section 221. Parallel Highways; Taking over of Existing
14 Roads and Streets; Payments to Boroughs.--

16 The secretary shall acquire the following public road or
17 street for inclusion into the State highway system:
18 L.R. No. 1 Parallel, Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County,
19 beginning at the intersection of Front Street and Estherton
20 Avenue; thence in an easterly direction over Estherton Avenue to
21 the intersection of Estherton Avenue and Second Street; thence
1 in a northerly direction over the remainder of L.R. No.1
2 Parallel.
3 Section 2. The act is amended by adding a section to read:
4 Section 222. Deletion of Existing Parallel Highways.--The
5 secretary shall remove the following route or portion thereof
6 from the State highway system:
7 L.R. No.1 Parallel, Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County,
8 beginning at Station 0 + 00 at the intersection of Front Street
9 and Edwin Avenue, thence in an easterly direction over Edwin
10 Avenue a distance of 389 feet to Station 3 + 89 at the
11 intersection of Edwin Avenue and Second Street, thence in a
12 northerly direction over Second Street a distance of 1,175 feet
13 to Station 11 + 75 at the intersection of Second Street and
14 Estherton Avenue.
15 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
