                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, providing for a special registration plate for
     3     holders of the Congressional Medal of Honor.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Title 75, act of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707,
     7  No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, is
     8  amended by adding a section to read:
     9  § 1342.1.  Congressional Medal of Honor plate.
    10     On the application of a recipient of a Congressional Medal of
    11  Honor, certified as such by the United States Veterans'
    12  Administration, the department shall issue a special
    13  registration plate designating the vehicle as belonging to a
    14  Congressional Medal of Honor winner. The registration plate
    15  shall have a white background, shall have blue numbers or
    16  letters as the department may determine, and shall have a
    17  replica of the medal of honor, the letters CMH and the
    18  recipients initials on it. The special registration plate may be
    19  used only on one passenger vehicle or one other vehicle with a

     1  registered gross weight of not more than 9,000 pounds.
     2     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
