AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 1, 1976 (No.17-A), entitled "An act
2 appropriating the Federal augmentation to the Executive and
3 Judicial Departments of the Commonwealth for the fiscal
4 period July 1, 1976 to June 30, 1977," adding an
5 appropriation to the Department of Justice.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. As much as relates to General Government
9 Operations in the Department of Justice in section 2, act of
10 July 1, 1976 (No.17-A), known as the "Federal Augmentation
11 Appropriation Act of 1976," is amended to read:
12 Section 2. The following sums, or as much thereof as may be
13 necessary, are hereby specifically appropriated from the Federal
14 augmentation funds to the several hereinafter named agencies of
15 the Executive and Judicial Departments of the Commonwealth for
16 the payment of the expenses of implementing and carrying out the
17 programs stated herein for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
18 1976.

1 To the Department of Justice
2 The following Federal augmentation amount or
3 as much thereof as may be necessary is hereby
4 specifically appropriated to supplement the sum
5 of $474,000 appropriated from Commonwealth
6 revenues to the Attorney General for General
7 Government Operations:
8 (1) "Law Enforcement Assistance - State
9 Discretionary" - For the exclusive purpose of
10 paying all expenses associated with an evaluation
11 of the Office of the Special Prosecutor as per
12 contractual agreement............................ 44,956
13 (2) "Law Enforcement Assistance - Improving
14 and Strengthening Law Enforcement" - To pay the
15 expenses of the Office of the Special Prosecutor.. 425,000

17 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
