                         In the House of Representatives, March 13, 1978

     1     RESOLVED (the Senate concurring), That the General Assembly
     2  of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania urges Congress to direct the
     3  Federal Food and Drug Administration to include the following
     4  specific additional points of information when announcing and/or
     5  banning a given substance as a test-cause of cancer or causing
     6  other harmful effect: (1)  What equivalent amount of the given
     7  substance would an average 180-pound human have to consume, use
     8  or be exposed to, and in what length of time, to approach the
     9  danger point; and (2) what percentage of all animals involved in
    10  the tests resulting in the announcement and/or banning developed
    11  the cancer or other harmful effect.
    12     RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to
    13  the presiding officer of each House of Congress of the United
    14  States and to each Senator and Representative from Pennsylvania
    15  in the Congress of the United States.
