AN ACT
1 Requiring the sale by the Department of Transportation of
2 property interests acquired for a highway project in
3 Philadelphia County.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Upon the effective date of this act, the
7 Department of Transportation shall offer for sale, at the
8 department's acquisition price, certain property interests
9 acquired in connection with the northeast expressway project in
10 Philadelphia County as follows:
11 (1) 6225 Oxford Avenue;
12 (2) 6410 Dorcas Street;
13 (3) 6412 Dorcas Street;
14 (4) 6420 Dorcas Street;
15 (5) 6426 Dorcas Street; and
16 (6) 6430 Dorcas Street.
17 Section 2. The department shall offer the easement or fee
18 simple title acquired to the owner from whom the department
19 acquired the property at the acquisition price. The owner shall
1 have this right of first refusal, and shall notify the
2 department within 60 days whether he accepts or rejects the
3 offer.
4 Section 3. If owner rejects the offer, the department shall
5 then proceed immediately with the necessary arrangements for a
6 public sale to the highest bidder.
7 Section 4. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
