AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for the establishment of county offices
3 of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 75, act of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707,
7 No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, is
8 amended by adding a section to read:
9 § 6115. County offices of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
10 The secretary shall establish and maintain branch offices of
11 the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in each county of the Commonwealth
12 in cooperation with and through the office of the county
13 treasurer for the purpose of conducting the business of the
14 bureau relating to titles and registration of vehicles and
15 licensing of drivers.
16 Section 2. The county offices of the Bureau of Motor
17 Vehicles shall be established not later than July 1, 1979.
18 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
