AN ACT
1 Authorizing the Department of General Services with the approval
2 of the Governor to sell and convey 4.045 acres, more or less,
3 of land situate in the Township of Cherry Hill, County of
4 Indiana and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The Department of General Services, with the
8 approval of the Governor, is hereby authorized on behalf of the
9 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to sell, to the Township of Cherry
10 Hill in the County of Indiana for the sum of $1, the following
11 described tract of land situate in the Township of Cherry Hill
12 in the County of Indiana and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
13 bounded and described as follows:
14 Beginning at a post on the boundary line of the land of or
15 formerly of E. H. Putt and Watson and Tomkins, thence along the
16 land of or formerly of E. H. Putt north 59 degrees 18 minutes
17 west, 861.3 feet to a point marked by stones (this point being
18 south 64 degrees 15 minutes west, 193.875 feet from the
19 northwest corner of a forest fire observation tower heretofore
1 erected on the tract of land herein conveyed); thence along and
2 by land of the Grantor the following four courses and distances:
3 north 14 degrees 30 minutes east, 361.35 feet to a post; thence
4 south 59 degrees 18 minutes east, 580.8 feet to a post; thence
5 south 14 degrees 30 minutes west, 326.7 feet to a post; thence
6 south 59 degrees 18 minutes east, 293.7 feet to a post; thence
7 along the land of Watson and Tomkins south 38 degrees 45 minutes
8 west, 33 feet to a post, the place of beginning. (The said place
9 of beginning being the following courses and distances along the
10 land of or formerly of Watson and Tomkins: beginning at a post
11 on Township Road leading to Clymer, thence north 44 degrees 26
12 minutes east, 341.88 feet to a white oak; thence north 38
13 degrees 45 minutes east, 530.97 feet to a post, the place of
14 beginning in the description of the tract of land herein
15 conveyed).
16 Containing 4.055 acres more or less.
17 Section 2. The deed of conveyance shall be approved by the
18 Department of Justice and shall be executed by the Secretary of
19 General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of
20 Pennsylvania. Title to the tract described therein shall revert
21 to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania when the Township of Cherry
22 Hill ceases to use the same for municipal purposes.
23 Section 3. All moneys received from the sale of the land
24 herein authorized to be conveyed shall be deposited in the
25 General Fund.
26 Section 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
