AN ACT 1 Amending the act of May 1, 1913 (P.L.155, No.104), entitled "An 2 act regulating the letting of certain contracts for the 3 erection, construction, and alteration of public buildings," 4 increasing the minimum bid requirement. 5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 6 hereby enacts as follows: 7 Section 1. Section 1, act of May 1, 1913 (P.L.155, No.104), 8 entitled "An act regulating the letting of certain contracts for 9 the erection, construction, and alteration of public buildings," 10 amended September 1, 1967 (P.L.296, No.124), is amended to read: 11 Section 1. Be it enacted, &c., That hereafter in the 12 preparation of specifications for the erection, construction, 13 and alteration of any public building, when the entire cost of 14 such work shall exceed [one thousand five hundred dollars] five 15 thousand dollars, it shall be the duty of the architect, 16 engineer, or other person preparing such specifications, to 17 prepare separate specifications for the plumbing, heating, 18 ventilating, and electrical work; and it shall be the duty of 19 the person or persons authorized to enter into contracts for the
1 erection, construction, or alteration of such public buildings 2 to receive separate bids upon each of the said branches of work, 3 and to award the contract for the same to the lowest responsible 4 bidder for each of said branches. 5 Section 2.
