                                     AN ACT

     1  Providing for certain public representation on the membership of
     2     the licensing boards of the Commonwealth.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  The licensing boards of this Commonwealth shall
     6  be increased in size by the appointment by the Governor of two
     7  public representatives to membership on each board. They shall
     8  have voting power and the privileges and duties granted to them
     9  by law.
    10     Section 2.  The public representatives so appointed shall not
    11  be affiliated with or associated with the profession or
    12  occupation which is licensed or regulated by the board to which
    13  they are appointed.
    14     Section 3.  A public representative so appointed may not be
    15  an elected official, nor a lobbyist registered in accordance
    16  with the act of October 7, 1976 (P.L.1051, No.212), known as the
    17  "Lobbying Registration and Regulation Act."

     1     Section 4.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
