AN ACT
1 Regulating agreements and payments by certain authorities for
2 legal services.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. (a) An authority created by a municipality in a
6 third class county shall be a party to all agreements on sub-
7 agreements for legal services to be performed for that
8 authority.
9 (b) All payments for legal services performed for such
10 authorities shall be paid by the authority directly to the
11 attorney, law firm, partnership or professional corporation that
12 rendered the service. No part of any such payment for legal
13 services shall be paid by one attorney to another attorney.
14 Section 2. This act shall apply to agreements or sub-
15 agreements for legal services entered into or renewed after the
16 effective date of this act.
1 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
