        AS REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE ON STATE GOVERNMENT, HOUSE OF
           REPRESENTATIVES, AS AMENDED, SEPTEMBER 27, 1977

                                     AN ACT

     1  Establishing a uniform mileage fee for all OFFICIALS, OFFICERS    <--
     2     AND employees of the Commonwealth and, its political           <--
     3     subdivisions, INTERMEDIATE UNITS, AND AUTHORITIES.             <--

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of any other act
     7  to the contrary the mileage fee to be charged and received by
     8  any official, officer or employee of the Commonwealth, its
     9  departments, bureaus, boards, commissions, agencies and
    10  authorities and any official, officer or employee of its
    11  political subdivisions or authorities created thereby, OR OF AN   <--
    12  INTERMEDIATE UNIT shall be 15¢ per mile.
    13     SECTION 2.  NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF ANY OTHER ACT    <--
    14  TO THE CONTRARY, THE MILEAGE FEE TO BE CHARGED AND RECEIVED FOR
    15  TRAVEL OUTSIDE THE COMMONWEALTH BY ANY OFFICIAL, OFFICER OR
    16  EMPLOYEE OF THE COMMONWEALTH, ITS DEPARTMENTS, BUREAUS, BOARDS,
    17  COMMISSIONS, AGENCIES, AND AUTHORITIES, INTERMEDIATE UNITS AND
    18  ANY OFFICIAL, OFFICER, OR EMPLOYEE OF ITS POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS

     1  OR AUTHORITIES CREATED THEREBY, SHALL BE 15¢ PER MILE OR THE
     2  RATE FOR AIR FARE COACH, BY THE MOST DIRECT ROUTE, WHICHEVER IS
     3  LOWER, AND TRANSPORTATION BY CAR RENTAL, LIMOUSINE SERVICE, TAXI
     4  OR SIMILAR TRANSPORTATION AT DEPARTURE AND DESTINATION AIRPORTS.
     5     Section 2 3.  All acts and parts of acts are repealed insofar  <--
     6  as they are inconsistent with the provisions of this act.
     7     Section 3 4.  This act shall take effect immediately.          <--
