                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for the use of studded snow
     3     tires.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 4525(c) of Title 75, act of November 25,
     7  1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     8  Statutes, added June 17, 1976 (No.81), is amended to read:
     9  § 4525.  Tire equipment and traction surfaces.

    11     (c)  Tire studs.--[No vehicle] Vehicles having tires
    12  containing studs [shall] may be driven on any highway in this
    13  Commonwealth between November 1 and the following March 31. No
    14  vehicle having tires containing studs shall be driven on any
    15  highway between March 31 and the following November 1.

    17     Section 2.  Section 8(d), act of June 17, 1976 (No.81),

     1  entitled "An act amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the
     2  Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, adding revised, compiled and
     3  codified provisions relating to vehicles and pedestrians," is
     4  repealed.
     5     Section 3.  This act shall take effect immediately.
